DUBOIS CO., IN (WFIE) - A plea deal has been reached in the case of a Jasper doctor accused of illegally possessing Oxycodone.
Michael Love, 50, admitted when he was arrested that he has an opioid addiction.
Police say for years, Love told detectives he wrote Oxycodone prescriptions, and had a friend pick them up.
The friend told authorities he got free medical care in exchange.
As part of the plea deal, a felony charge was dropped and Love was sentenced to 180 days in jail. He'll be on probation for two years.
