One of the ways students here at Henderson County High School decided to give back to their teachers was through a car wash.

The idea come together in the senior level community involvement class. They were looking for ways to show gratitude for their educators.

Starting Monday and running through Friday, any high school teacher is able to get a free car wash. The class teamed up with the tech school students trying to get around to as many vehicles as possible.

Students also organized a raffle with fun prizes during daily drawings.

A few of the teachers we spoke with say they may even run their cars back through at the end of the week.

Students and staff in Union County also showed their appreciation to teachers. The rolled out the red carpet for them, literally.

Teachers took turns walking the carpet and getting their pictures taken at the end.
