EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - It could save a life. Free Narcan training for the public is returning to Evansville.
At Monday's CAJE action meeting, members gave an update on their mission to provide Narcan to local first responders. CAJE members say Evansville Police and Fire and Posey County deputies are now fully equipped with the emergency treatment of an opioid overdose.
And for the second time, they are bringing in a group to train the public on how to administer Narcan and encouraging community leaders to get on board too.
"And we ask that you encourage members of our community to get equipped," explained Linda Henzman, Central UMC. "After all, E is for Everyone and I'll add, E is for equipped."
That training is scheduled for June 21 at 6 p.m.
