TRI-STATE (WFIE) -

Several counties in Indiana are under a Tornado Watch until 6 p.m. CST Sunday.

More watches and warnings are expected to be issued as the day progresses. The watch, which was issued just after 11 a.m., is for the following Indiana counties: Daviess County (IN), Knox County, and Martin County.

Tornado Watch is in place for the following counties in Illinois: Clay County, Lawrence County, and Richland County.

Earlier Sunday, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) upgraded some parts of the Tri-State to an enhanced (3 out of 5) risk for severe weather.

The storms are expected to be moving in quicker than originally thought. According to the latest timeline, the storms start to develop around 3 p.m. in Illinois before pushing through the Vanderburgh County area by midnight.
