GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

A bank in Gibson County is thanking the community for its support. United Fidelity Bank in Fort Branch hosted its first ever "Community Day."

Marketing Director Angela Peters told us the bank opened its doors back in February, and the community has been supportive ever since.

This is their way to give back.

There were activities and giveaways throughout the day as well as free food.

Peters said it's their mission to fulfill the community's needs and Saturday was designed to achieve that.

"We are a community bank, and that's what we're all about," Peters told 14 News. "Our mission is to give back to the community, and this is our way of being able to do so."

She said they plan on making this an annual event.
