WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) -

A man was arrested after a chase that started in Chandler and ended in Elberfeld.

The chase started just after 2:30 Wednesday morning at Old Plank Road and Jenner.

The Warrick County Sheriffs Office says the chase began with a traffic stop and went on for over 20 minutes.

The chase ended when deputies used stop sticks at 5th and Walnut. It blew out the two front tires and caused the vehicle to hit a tree.

The driver, later identified as 44-year-old Jason Peak, of Chandler, tried to run away, but a Newburgh police K-9 caught him. We're told drugs were found in the car and the license plate on the vehicle was stolen.

Peak was treated for a dog bite at the hospital before being taken to the Warrick County Jail.
