The Central Bears are gearing up for a big game against Castle on Saturday.

Everyone talking about the Central Bears loves to talk about their offense, which is phenomenal there is no denying that, but this is a well rounded football team. So far this season the Bears are sitting at 3-1 and their defense has been a big part of that success.

Yes their offense is putting up the points, but this team has each others backs and that is something that makes them special this season.

Although they may be taking some scrutiny from the 28-21 loss to Reitz  they are a very experienced group.

Head coach Andy Owen says one loss does not define this team, and he's extremely pleased with how the defense has stepped up, and knows they'll be ready this week.

"Our defense has been spectacular, I really like our kids they fly around they understand the system, they are coachable and they are just playing very good football and they did last game," Coach Owen explained. "You know the last few minutes we let them score but that's not a defensive or offense thing, the Central Bears lost. I am proud of our defense and I know that they are going to bounce back this week and I'm excited about the opportunity to stop a great offense in Castle."

And the Bears will see Castle this Saturday night up at Lucas Stadium.
