Company owner killed in equipment rollover in Jasper

The Dubois County Coroner confirms a man died after an accident behind Fifth Street Elementary.

It happened Monday around noon.

We're told workers from Hulsman Electric were working on a light and a piece of equipment rolled over with two people on it.

They believe 62-year-old Earl Hulsman and 60-year-old Kurt Brescher were bringing the lift down to the ground and for an unknown reason, the lift tipped and fell to the ground from approximately 40-feet.

The coroner said Hulsman was killed as a result. Brescher's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The mayor tells us Brescher has broken bones on the right side of his body.

We're told Hulsman was the owner of the company.

Police and OSHA are investigating.
