WEBSTER CO., KY (WFIE) -

A man is back in jail hours after being released because police say he crashed into a CSX train in Webster County.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday off Highway 41 South and Breton Road between Slaughters and Sebree.

Police say 35-year-old Thomas Cates and 22-year-old Katie Carter were arrested and charged with wanton endangerment because their two boys in the truck were not buckled in properly.

Authorities tell us the boys are one and two years old. Both boys are now in an Evansville hospital. The younger boy was flown there from the scene. The older boy was later flown there from Madisonville.
