MT. CARMEL, IL (WFIE) -

We have new information on a story we first told you about.

Our media partners at the Mount Carmel Register said three coaches of the Flora Junior Football League Team have resigned following an incident at Mount Carmel last Saturday. During the game, a member of the Flora Junior Wolves team made a hit on Mt. Carmel's Thomas Stringfellow.

Stringfellow had to be airlifted to the hospital. He's back home in a neck brace.

The Mount Carmel Register reports the resignation was announced shortly after the team that Flora was set to play this week announced they wouldn't play in protest.
