EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A great 4-A Southern Indiana Athletic Conference (SIAC) match up will take place Friday as top ranked Reitz is traveling to take on No. 2 Central, both looking to stay undefeated.

But, it wont be easy for either team. The Reitz defense gave up its first points of the season last week against Castle and they spent the week fixing any errors. Then there is their offense who will come at you with the run game and then air it out.

Head coach of the Bears, Andy Owen knows there is a reason why Reitz is number one and they are in for a dog fight come Friday.

"Yeah, we are going to have to play great football, both pass and run versus Reitz," Coach Owen explained. "Definitely one of the most talented teams we have played if not going to be, they are so skilled, well coached, and great players flying around. Our kids are hopefully up for the challenge, we have worked pretty hard and we feel like we have some pretty good football players too. I think turnovers will be a key and then the kicking game. Try to win the turnover battle and then if we could make some plays in the kicking game maybe give us a chance to compete and play close in the fourth."

Now, there is also a reason why the Bears are No. 2 in the state. They also have had an excellent start and they are strong on both sides of the ball.

Early on their run game has been shining bright, and that is something the Panthers are well aware of and they will do their best to try to contain that explosive offense.

"You know great running game," Coach Hape stated. "If you stop the run then they still have weapons on the outside, they can throw the ball around a little bit. They have good receivers. I think there scheme is good so very athletic and you know the philosophy is always you have to stop what they do and I don't know if you can ever stop it but you at least have to slow it down. You know going in and hopefully we can contain their run game  and then you know deal with the pass."

Kickoff from Central is set for 7:00 p.m.
