Owensboro Police make arrest after shooting


Owensboro Police are investigating a shooting.

It happened at 11:45 a.m. Monday, on Fifth and Allen Streets. Once officers arrived, they found one man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

He was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Darrius Walton, 34-years-old, of Owensboro, was arrested by Owensboro Police Officers, according to a press release from the Owensboro Police Department (OPD). Walton is being charged first-degree assault, the release states.
