Rain delays, cancels events at Henderson Tri-Fest

The "Movie in the Park" at the Henderson Tri-Fest was canceled due to the wet weather. But vendors say a little rain won't run them out of town.

The food booths have been open since 11 a.m. and all of the proceeds go towards local non-profits. Over the years, the Breakfast Lions Club has raised about $600,000 from its Tri-Fest booths. Food vendors tell me this event is too important for them to just pack up and go home.

"People with kids they don't wanna get outside and be wet. It's harder to ride rides and things like it. It makes it harder to keep your fire going. you know rain water, water and fire don't really mix that well, so," says Dan Todd, a food vendor.

Carnival rides first opened up at noon and they're still running despite the rain. As of right now the live concert and fireworks are still a go for tonight. And there are still two more opportunities for "Movie in the Park" this summer.
