3 Auburn softball players arrested on drug charges

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Three Auburn University softball players were arrested on drug charges Thursday morning.

The Auburn Police Department confirms Brittany Maresette, Haley Fagan and Makayla Martin were arrested around 12:47 a.m. on East Samford Avenue. All three have been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

The Auburn University athletics department confirmed the three players have been "suspended indefinitely" for violation of team rules.

Fagan is a redshirt senior infielder, Martin is a sophomore pitcher and Maresette is a freshman outfielder.
