Mississippi high schooler's prom outfit goes viral

The only way you haven't heard about the teen who's prom attire went viral is if you've been living under a rock. 

She set the internet on fire this weekend and today we caught up with Jackson native Faith Thigpen as she was being professionally photographed in her blinged out prom jumpsuit.

The headlines say it all.

Glam jumpsuit.

Teen slays prom. 

Prom look goes viral. 

But nothing truly can prepare you for the blinged out beauty that is Faith Thigpen and her one of a kind prom attire. 

"I picked out this lovely jumpsuit that I wasn't expecting to look this beautiful in person," explained Thigpen. "And once I got it, I was like 'that is the one, that is perfect'." 

Faith, who stars in the hit television show Bring It, is a junior at Murrah high school and this year's prom theme was The Great Gatsby. 

"When we googled Great Gatsby, the first thing I saw was the Kardashians and their party and I was like 'that's the look that i want to go for'." 

The jumpsuit was designed by Angel Brinks from the show Basketball Wives LA and once the jumpsuit arrived, Faith and her mom added their own special touch.

"This skirt is not made from anyone. We actually got it from Sweet 16 and my mom like put it together and sewed the strap on there and that's how we just added the skirt. And added jewelry of course." 

It took five hours to get ready for prom, but according to the thousands of comments, likes and shares on social media, it was worth it. 

Local Jackson photographer Kayland Partee with Partee Photography originally took her photos before the big day and the world began to take notice.

There were some who were concerned that the jumpsuit was too revealing. However, the suit is actually made on an opaque flesh colored material. 

So, no nudity. In fact, the only skin she showed was her hands, feet and face.
