FRANCISCO, IN (WFIE) - The city of Francisco is upgrading its waterline maps by digitizing them.
The city has partnered with Frontier Geospatial in providing GIS service to replace old and outdated maps.
There will be contractors out plotting where sewer and water lines are through the town. They're also doing this to prepare for the future expansion of the I-69 project.
Officials say the digital maps will be favorable for the city.
Officials say that they will be collecting the field data until the beginning of May.
