Lilly King continues to dominate post gold

Lilly King has been having a phenomenal sophomore season in the pool for the Hoosiers and kept the accomplishments coming in Indianapolis.

Lilly King has been dominating the 100 and 200 breaststroke all year long, whether it be at the USA College Challenge, the Big Tens or the NCAA Championships.

This last weekend, she won NCAA titles in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke for the second straight year out swimming last year's winning times, but it's what King has been training to do and she isn't the least bit surprised.

"Just seeing where I started at the beginning of freshman year and where I started at the beginning of sophomore year I kind of figured I was going to go a lot faster, I just started at such a higher level than I did last year with weights and with practice, I have been training a lot faster this year," said King.

These record broke times like she posted in the 200. She set a new American and NCAA record and it's what people expect.

"It's been a pretty crazy year, but it's cool kind of not really being the underdog anymore even though everyone loves a good underdog but yeah it is fun being where I am right now," King said.

Although all the attention may be daunting, King is feeling all of the love.

"Everyone has been so supportive and it is really great to see that from home," she said.
