Judy's Bio Information

Judy Lyden has worked with very young children for over thirty years. She’s been a preschool teacher for over twenty. She co-owns the Garden School, an early childhood academic center, with Edith St. Louis.

[ The Garden School was designed to open the world by discovery to the very young child who is hungry to know who he is and where he is. We take children from wherever they are as far as they can go. The School offers reading and pre-reading skills, arithmetic, handwriting, spelling and phonics, literature, art and fine arts, music, geography and history, science, Bible stories and gym. ]


Judy has written childcare articles for newspapers across the nation and Canada for fifteen years. She is frequently quoted by Parent’s Magazine and is currently a main contributor to childcare sites all over the Internet. She is a reporter for the National Media Service in Washington DC for childcare issues. She has been a speaker and an advocate for the high energy child.


Judy is a graduate of the University of Evansville. She is married to Terry Lyden and they have four grown children and four grandchildren.  They live in Newburgh.
