EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Four people were hurt and a driver was taken into custody after a car crash near downtown Evansville.

It happened before 1 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Ohio and Fulton.

Police say the driver of a car ran a red light and broadsided a pickup truck.

Officers say three people in the car, including a child, and the truck driver were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police believe drugs and possibly alcohol played a part in the crash.

The driver of the car, Dani Marie York, is in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

She is charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under 18 in the car and driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction in the past five years.
