Cancer Patients May Survive With Aspirin

New research finds an aspirin a day may help keep colon cancer away, even in those who already have the disease.

Colon cancer patients who took daily aspirin therapy had a 50-percent better chance of surviving the disease compared with those who were not regular aspirin users. This study was done in patients who had stage three colon cancer.

Previous studies have shown that aspirin lowers the risk of developing colon cancer in otherwise healthy people.
