EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Leaders in Henderson County voted on a new insurance plan for employees in 2017 on Wednesday morning.

Changes are needed after the health care costs alloted for the entire year of 2016, $1.8-million, were already exceeded by August.

Group "Peel and Holland" presented their 2017 partnership plan with Methodist Hospital.

The two are also together expanding the county's wellness program.
The benefits account executive with Peel and Holland says the maximum health care amount alloted, was reduced.

The insurance money does rollover, meaning, up to $750, if you don't spend it, it goes toward the following year's plan.
