Hopkins Co. woman reflects on friend's life after deadly crash

"She has this bubbly personality. You can't help but love her. "

Tammy Walker says she and Whitney Pinkerton became fast friends the first time they met.

But Friday, in an instant, lives were changed forever.

Pinkerton, just 28-years-old and 6 months pregnant, died in a crash on Nebo Road, just miles from GE, where she and Walker worked together. We are told the details and investigation surrounding the crash are ongoing.

"It was unbelievable to know that she was this happy, loving young woman with a full life ahead of her and it was gone," says Walker .

Saturday was a scheduled workday for GE employees and Walker says their work family came together to cry, talk and reminisce.

"It was just somber," said Walker. "We all kinda just leaned on each other."

Most of all, she says she'll miss Whitney's infectious laugh and bubbly personality. She says both were contagious.

Tammy says they'd spend a lot of time together outside of work. She tells us they loved to go running.

What Pinkerton loved the most was her faith and her family.

"Family was very important to her. Like I said, she was so excited about this baby." One of the girls at work said, "She and her baby are dancing in heaven."
