(WFIE) (WFIE)
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville police are looking for a man who robbed a business.

It happened just after 8:30 Thursday night at the Family Dollar on Vann Avenue.

Police say a man showed a gun, demanded money and then took off. Police say he got away with the money in the register and several packs of cigarettes.

The suspect was described as wearing a black zip-up jacket and had his face covered.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The Family Dollar where the robbery happened is right across the street from the neighborhood Walmart that was robbed just one week ago.

Police say the Family Dollar robbery happened in the same area where a string of robberies occurred a month ago. That included the Taco Bell, Circle K, and Hardees.

Anyone with information about any of these crimes should call the Evansville Police Department at 436-7979 or the WeTip line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
