EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Brooke Owlsey is a proud Newburgh native.

The 2011 Castle High School graduate has been dancing for years. Now, she's getting paid to do it.? Owlsey's getting ready for her second season as a Pacemate, a professional dancer for the Indiana Pacers.

The 23-year-old Newburgh native was all smiles before hitting the floor at the Ford Center Wednesday night when our crew caught up with her.

She danced at Castle High and at Ball State University. With practices, community appearances, and games, it's almost like a full-time job, she tells us.

Owlsey also works as a bank teller, but the court is where she feels most alive.

"I've actually never performed here or done anything here. So, this will be my first time at the Ford Center," Owlsey told us Wednesday night. "I'm glad to be back in my hometown to be able to support and see my friends and family,"
