EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

More plans unveiled this week for a new high-end grocery store on Evansville's east side, and it could open up in just a few months.

The new store will be Fresh Thyme farmers market and will carry organic foods, as well as gluten free and dairy free items.

On Monday, the design went before the city's site review committee. The committee ruled that Vogel Road here will have to be extended to the new store.

Contractors still have a few revisions to make on the site plan before they get the green light.

Senior VP of Lauth Construction Steve Eppink says they have built several Fresh Thyme grocery stores in the past and are excited to build one in Evansville.

Work is scheduled to start before November 1, 2016, and should be done by July 31, 2017, with a grand opening 30 to 45 days following that.
