Greenville 9/11 memorial will be unveiled this fall

In Muhlenberg County, Greenville city officials will be unveiling a 9-11 memorial this fall that will feature a one ton steel beam from the World Trade Center.  Right now, the beam is being stored at the Greenville fire department until the sculpture is ready. City officials say renowned bronze sculptor, Gary Casteel, will be create the monument. The memorial will pay tribute to local emergency responders. Last year, the family of the late Thomas "Brown" Badgett Senior donated more than 100 thousand dollars for the project.  The 9-11 memorial will be across from the judicial center in Greenville. The unveiling will be Sunday, September 11th.
