Newburgh shop sells organic treats for dogs

NEWBURGH, IN (WFIE) -

If you're looking for some healthy treats for your dog, a new business in Newburgh may have what you're looking for.

It's the Welcome "Waggin'" organic dog bakery on Jennings Street.

Owner Tina Wheeler bakes all the treats herself, with no preservatives.

She tells 14NEWS, her treats are mainly grain free and she only uses coconut and olive oil, making them very healthy.

“With them being grain-free, they aren't going to put weight on your dog and that's an issue for a lot of dog owners,” said Wheeler.  “I saw this building was for lease and so I talked to the owner and things came together.  Downtown Newburgh is really growing and we have a lot of great shops.  We have new business owners down here.”

If you'd like to check it out, they're open Tuesday through Saturday.

And this Saturday, they're having pet pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
