DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) - Volunteers are trying to bring joy and happiness to families and their love ones in hospice.
The Music Enrichment program committee is expanding its music program with Hospice of Western Kentucky.
Organizers are using and wanting to use more local talent from all music genres to perform for hospice patients and their families.
So far, 35 musicians are volunteering to help families have a positive experience during their difficult time.
"It's nice to see families you know…tapping their toes, laughing, and having a good time, just being able to escape reality…if only for a moment," said Travis Estes, a Music Enrichment program committee member.
