JASPER, IN (WFIE) - Police are working to get ahead of scammers.
They partnered with L.A.W. publications to get pamphlets into schools and city offices.
Chief Michael Bennett says it makes sense to alert people to very real threats like scams and cyber bullying.
"I thought the switch to this company would benefit the community more than the old company was," Bennett says. "Whether we're in the schools or we have them here for the public to pick up or at different civic organizations, Lions Clubs that sort of thing."
The pamphlets are free to the public.
Local businesses have donated funds for the project.
