HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) - A main artery in Henderson County will permanently stay at a lowered speed that was originally supposed to be temporary.
Zion-Larue Road was lowered from 55 mph to 35 mph when part of State Route 351 was closed for a curve realignment project.
Officials say those curves have had a high crash rate, dating back to 1993.
Henderson County magistrates made the decision to keep the speed limit lower.
The project's goal was to make the road safer.
