NEW HARMONY, IN (WFIE) - New Harmony festival organizers are getting ready for the town's annual Christmas celebration this weekend.
The "Christmas in New Harmony Festival" includes a tree lighting, local Christmas shopping, parades, and of course, Santa.
Jim Spann, the president of the New Harmony Business Associates says for some people, this is like a small family reunion, one of the big meanings behind this festival.
"New Harmony is kind of a classic small town, and it's about keeping that alive and allowing other people, future generations, to be a part of that as well and have that experience for themselves," said Spann.
The event kicks off Friday at 5:30 p.m. with the tree lighting.
Saturday and Sunday are filled with activities like arts and crafts shopping, food and a parade.
