The Daviess County Animal Shelter is raising money by having a holiday gift basket raffle.
Local businesses and the community donated items for the event.
To enter—buy a ticket at the shelter for a dollar. The donations will be used to help keep cat adoption fees low. "It's like every person in Kentucky would have to own 13 cats to place all the cats in Kentucky. Dogs are going to rescues and that's helping, but the rescues do not take cats normally," said Janie Robinson, Daviess County Animal Shelter Volunteer.
The drawing will be held December 12th.
