Police: Evansville man stabbed before car was stolen

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Police are looking for a group of men they believe stabbed a man before stealing his car.

Police say the victim, Charles Frazier, showed up at the Phillips 66 gas station on North Main Street and asked for help. He told officers he’d been shot in the hand, but medical crews say it looked like he’d been cut.

Frazier then reported several men stabbed him near a liquor store off First Avenue and took his car.

Police are investigating the case as a robbery.
