Travelers and locals celebrate on Thanksgiving eve

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Thanksgiving eve is unofficially the "biggest party night of the year."

Lots of bars offer food and drink specials to lure out-of-towners.

We caught up with the staff and some early party-goers at Lamasco Bar and Grill.

“It's a lot of locals.  It's a lot of college kids home for the holidays on break.”

In bigger cities, Taxi-service Uber offers free rides home on Thanksgiving eve.
