BEAVER DAM, KY (WFIE) - The Beaver Dam city commission will continue to develop city parks.
The commission recently voted unanimously to hire an engineer to help design a master plan for all city parks.
The more than $12,000 project will include conceptual design drawings and cost estimates.
Mayor Paul Sandefur says it's a project he wants the community be a part of.
"We want to get community input," says Sandefur. "Probably all of this will take place after the first of the year. If we can get the community input and talk about the things we want to have. Let's dream and dream big. Put our priority list together at least we will have a master plan for what the facility will look like."
Sandifer says the conceptual design will be a great plan to have in place when funding from grants becomes available.
