EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The lead consultant on Evansville's new Downtown Master Plan has announced two public meetings and the release of an online survey allowing residents the opportunity to communicate with planners crafting the plan.
The Downtown Master Plan, funded by the Evansville Redevelopment Commission, is the first for downtown since 2001. The plan is set to be released in early 2016.
The two public input sessions will be held at the Old Post Office Event Plaza at 100 N.W. 2nd St., on Tuesday, November 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The sessions will begin with a discussion on global trends affecting downtowns and how they can be leveraged to impact downtown Evansville. Following the discussion, attendees are encouraged to visit 'Idea Stations' where they can communicate directly with the planners working on the Master Plan.
Additional public feedback can be received from October 29 to December 15 online here.
