Search underway for Salvation Army bell ringers

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The Salvation Army is looking for seasonal Red Kettle bell ringers at 35 sites across Evansville, Boonville, and Newburgh.

They prefer volunteers, but there are some paid positions too.

Seasonal bell ringers will fill in where volunteers aren't available.  They are paid $7.45 per hour.

Bell ringers are needed Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.  The red kettles will go out November 13 and will remain outside certain store fronts through Christmas Eve.

Please call Billy at 812-270-0920 to volunteer or to ask for an application to become a paid bell ringer.

The Red Kettle Campaign is a 120+ year tradition for the Salvation Army and this year, they're going to try to raise more than $250,000.
