HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) - Do you have questions about the newly proposed occupational tax in Henderson County?
County officials will be at the fiscal courtroom at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday to explain the tax.
So far, we're learning it's a 1 percent tax that could generate almost $2 million.
This tax will help the county's budget deficit, replacing money lost because of disappearing coal severance funds.
The tax could go into effect as early as next month.
