UE students wait for newly renovated library to open

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

UE students will have to wait a bit longer to use the newly renovated library.

College officials tell us everything is complete on their end.  They're just waiting for the contractor to finish the job.

We're told a majority of the work is complete.  The contractor is waiting on several, special-order items to complete the job.

But students like Kristen Nussel say they've been waiting too long.

She says the library is one of the only quiet places students can go to study.

“We just had midterms and we weren't allowed to study in there and we have finals in a couple of months,” Nussel said.  “I have to study in the classrooms and the other buildings and then I study in our sorority suite.”

University officials tell us an announcement on the opening is expected soon.
