Wabash Co. shelter dog being sent up north for second chance at life

WABASH CO., IL (WFIE) - A dog rescued from Allendale, Illinois is moving to Wisconsin for a second chance at life.

Volunteers at the Wabash County Animal Shelter say Pierce is one of several animals being transported to a rescue up north.

He was brought in to the shelter after officials say he survived an animal cruelty situation, living with no food, no water, and poor shelter.

We're told Pierce has been doing very well.

The hope is to now get him a forever home as soon as possible.
