MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) - City leaders in Breman are replacing an outdated severe weather siren.
The city recently received a $20,000 homeland security grant to replace a weather siren at the fire station.
Fire officials say the current one is more than 50 years old and can only reach people in a two mile radius.
The new siren will be rotating and heard seven miles away.
Fire officials hope to have it ready to go by spring.
