15-year-old pleads guilty in accidental shooting

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A 15-year-old has pleaded guilty to reckless homicide and possession of a firearm in connection with the death of his 18-year-old cousin.

The shooting happened on September 26 in the 500 block of S. Linwood.

Police say they believe the 15-year-old was holding a gun when it went off.

They say the bullet went through a wall and hit Diamante Killebrew.

Judge Brett Niemeier says the 15-year-old pleaded guilty as a minor last Friday.

He'll be sentenced on October 19.
