Four arrested on drug charges in Madisonville

MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

Four people are in jail on drug charges in Hopkins County.

Madisonville Police say they were called to the Red Cardinal Inn Sunday to investigate a disturbance and possible drug activity.

Police say they were told one man was trying to dispose of the drugs on the roof.

Officers tell 14NEWS they found 53-year-old Gaylon Betar with meth and morphine pills.

Police say they were all individually packaged.

We’re told officers also found more than 400 grams of synthetic drugs and digital scales in Betar's backpack.  He's charged with trafficking and possession.

Police also arrested 21-year-old Zackarius Franklin, 54-year-old Lesa Heltsley, and 23-year-old Kristen Miller on drug possession charges.
