OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - Organizers at the Owensboro Convention Center are gearing up for their second annual OCCtoberfest and they are hoping it's going to be bigger and better than last year.
Over 300 people showed up to the first OCCtoberfest. Organizers are shooting for 500 this year.
To change things up, they are adding a cash concessions stand, and are handing out glass mugs to the first 500 people.
There will be three live bands playing throughout the night, all sorts of German-style food, and of course, a lot of beer.
Convention Center General Manager Dean Dennis says it's not only a fun event, but the money goes towards programs in downtown Owensboro.
The event will be held on Saturday. The part starts at 4 p.m. and will end at midnight. It costs $6 to get in.
