Volunteers receive free basic emergency responder training

A wide spread disaster could take emergency responders some time to get to the scene.

Tonight, The Daviess County Emergency Management is training citizens how to become a volunteer first responder. The Community Emergency Response Training Program, or CERTS teaches first aid, basic fire training, search and rescue, and how to turn off gas during a disaster. The eight week course is free to enroll. For more information on the course or how to sign up you can contact the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency at 270.685.8448.
