Kentucky Wesleyan College’s president celebrated his 1 year anniversary as president on Thursday.
President Bart Darrell took office in 2014 and a lot has happened since.
Darrell says just in the past seven months, people have invest over $7 million in KWC.
They've renovated a dorm as well as partnered with the community to build a new track and field facility.
Darrell says though, while new infrastructure is a major accomplishment, the biggest one has to do with campus culture.
“To me, the energy the faculty and staff and the students have created in that atmosphere, which is so healthy and so important on a college campus, today, is the most important thing that I think that we've done,” said Darrell.
Darrell, a KWC alum himself, says he plans on continuing to expand the college.
He says they'll be making several other big announcements in the coming months.
