Bosse High School students sign pledge to avoid distracted driving

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office teamed up with AT&T to push young drivers to put the cell phone down.

The "It Can Wait" campaign was held at Bosse High School.

During the event, students were able to see how distracted driving can result in an accident.

"Videos like these with such graphic explanations of what can happen can be a very effective way of making sure that especially people my age get it, that it's dangerous,” said Joshua Johnson, a senior.

At the end of the campaign, students signed an “It Can Wait” poster, pledging not to text and drive.
