MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - The third annual 9/11 Travis Manion Heroes Run kicked off Saturday in downtown Madisonville.
Race organizers tell 14NEWS they had their largest turnout yet - over 1000 runners and walkers.
Several police and firefighters ran the 5K in full gear.
Half of the money raised this year will go to the Travis Manion Foundation - an international organization supporting veterans.
The other half stays here at home for the Patrick Rudd Project, supporting grants for Hopkins County first responders.
