PIKE CO., IN (WFIE) - An extra $250,000 is coming into Pike County, thanks to a tax hike.
The county-council voted to raise the local income tax to .5%
The county is only getting about $1-million a year from that tax.
The funds were recently used to help pay for the sewer project to I-69.
The tax hike goes into effect next year.
County Auditor Ron Wilson says the rate is still the fourth lowest local income in the state.
