HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) - Henderson Police are investigating after windows were broken out of several cars on the east side of town.
Police say the incidents happened between Tuesday night and noon on Thursday.
"I didn't think this street was like this. I thought this was going to be a nice neighborhood and yah know, i don't know whats going on," said Herbert Johnson, vandalism victim.
Johnson has been living in his home on Washington for 2 years now, but after what happened to his car, he's seriously considering a change of address.
"I'm not going to be here long. I'm going to move off the street," said Johnson.
Police say the vandalism occurred on Washington, Powell, Ingram, Vine, Madison, Washington and 5th Streets. Also north Garden Mile Road and Richardson Avenue.
Carolyn Carter moved to town only a few months ago. She woke up Thursday morning to find her car window had been smashed.
"I've always felt pretty safe on this corner, but we do have a lot of people that walk up and down on the street that is kind of unnerving," said Carter.
Both Carter and Johnson said nothing was taken from their cars, but they still feel violated.
"Maybe step up patrols at night, but I don't think there is anyway 100% that you can keep things like this from happening," said Carter.
